Nearly 300lbs of food and a generous cash donation! A great way to round out quite the year at Daily Bread. Thank you so much to Dr. Blaine Langberg, his team, and all his patients who contributed to the food drive. Pictured below is Dr. Langberg and Pantry Coordinator Jill Shaw.
This year has seen an unprecedented demand for help from the Pantry. Fortunately, that demand has been more than matched by the incredible generosity of our supporters. The latest example is a very significant gift from the Stark, Fischgrund and Lebovic Families in memory and honor of Marvin and Millicent Stark, their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pictured below (L to R) are Amy Stark, (holding a slightly uncooperative Nash), Andrew Stark, Daily Bread President Peter Kent, and Lynne Stark.
Just in time to replenish our shelves after a very big distribution day on December 22, Barts Tree Service came through with a truckload of food! Thanks for thinking of us guys!
Community Food Drives are a wonderful way to gather large donations of food for Daily Bread while bringing neighbors together. One of the biggest of the year - if not THE biggest - was the drive organized by folks in the Aunt Hack area of Danbury - so many bags and boxes of food we could barely squeeze it all into the Pantry! Thank you so much!!
A HUGE thank you to a great team of teens whose amazing fall clean-up efforts raised $2,000 for Daily Bread! Pictured from left to right Bhuvan Hospet, Arya Nadgouda, Omkar Maralappanavar, and Kripa Rao. (Not pictured: Richa Rao and Arjun Parimi)
We are very grateful to Danbury Elks Lodge No. 120 for their very generous grant. Pictured below is Exalted Ruler Raymond Ward presenting the grant check to our President Debbie Landzberg (center) and Pantry Coordinator Jill Shaw .
Ridgefield High Schooler Bella Stewart stopped by with thirty-eight (!) super well-organized bags of groceries, personal care items, and more. Board member Peter Kent was on hand to receive the goods, and look awkward in the photo op! Thanks so much to Bella for pulling together this fantastic donation!
