Board Update & News Bites - May 2021

Largely due to the amazing way our volunteers responded to the pandemic last year, but also in recognition that much of that work needs to continue in 2021 and beyond, the PCLB Foundation has awarded us the largest grant we have ever received from an individual or private foundation. We are deeply grateful for their enduring support.
In a first for the Pantry, on June 4 we will be hosting a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination event in cooperation with the Danbury Health Dept. and Community Health Center, Inc. Clients can receive their first (or second) Pfizer shot while collecting food at our regular distribution. Pre-registration is not required but can be arranged here. It is not impossible clients will also be offered a little "incentive" to do the right thing .
